Nice neighbor from the very beginning: Like EK, AMADA GmbH also moved into the Haan Technology Park as part of the first construction phase. The AMADA Solution Center has thus played an important role in the European orientation of the Japanese manufacturer of sheet metal processing machines since 2009. Find out more in the first part of our new series on top companies in our environment.
Like all residents of the industrial estate, which is conveniently located on the A46, AMADA GmbH attaches great importance to sustainability. The company draws most of its energy from its own geothermal field on the Solution Center site. With 52 deep boreholes of 130 meters each, it is one of the largest in the whole of North Rhine-Westphalia. The architecture of the buildings blends harmoniously into the surrounding nature – and thus also visually underlines the importance of respect and responsibility towards the environment in the company’s philosophy.
Innovative solutions have always been at the heart of this philosophy, enabling the company’s customers to increase their technological lead. AMADA realizes individual production solutions based on the specific requirements of each individual customer.
The AMADA GmbH Solution Center serves as the company headquarters and exhibition space for the machine manufacturer’s products and technologies. It also houses the integrated range of analysis, consulting and training services to provide users and customers with comprehensive information and training on the latest developments and trends in the field of metal production.
The originally planned site size of 46,000 square meters for the Solution Center with its large showroom, administration area, AMADA School and Parts Center was already expanded to 71,000 square meters in November 2008. In the second construction phase, the Technical Center for AMADA Machine Tools Europe GmbH and another building for AMADA GmbH were added.
Annual visual highlight: magnificent cherry blossom at the start of spring
AMADA GmbH provides a special highlight every year during the Japanese cherry blossom season. The so-called sakura is always an impressive spectacle and is an important part of Japanese culture. We at EK are delighted every year when the 30 Japanese cherry trees along the AMADA avenue come into bloom at the start of spring.
High-tech for precision and quality:
