Finally, the trade fair gates open again for the long-awaited D\u00fcsseldorf glasstec. Airport City<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The new “Shift” office building in the middle of Airport City catches the eye from a distance thanks to its facade of polished, anodized aluminum.<\/uge.><\/p>\n\n

Just a corner away, another prestigious project is currently under construction, also planned by sop architects, the SMART OFFICE. The sculptural new office building draws the eye almost magically to its building-high entrance portal, which connects two H-shaped building wings with glass bridges. Inside the SMART OFFICE, which is also pre-certified with the DGNB Gold label, all office organization forms, from open space or combination zones to individual and group offices, can be flexibly implemented.<\/p>\n\n

New South Fair<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The newly designed south entrance can be admired directly at Hall 1 in the direction of the Rhine: a gigantic translucent canopy sets the mood for the glazed front of the new “South Entrance”. The foyer itself offers over 2,000 square meters of space for meetings and events. Above the heads of the visitors, the glazed conference room projects strikingly into the foyer. After the impressively designed forecourt and the bright foyer, the new Hall 1 awaits them, adjoining the entrance area across its entire width. With space for 10,000 people, with 6 conference rooms and a clear height of 15 meters. More beautiful, brighter, wider!<\/p>\n\n

b’mine hotel D\u00fcsseldorf<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Chic conference hotels are always worth a tip. Like the ‘b’mine hotel’ in D\u00fcsseldorf, which will open in spring 2022. Located 5 minutes from the main train station, it offers 202 ‘smart’ rooms including 26 car lofts. Really smart: digital infrastructure turns your smartphone into a check-in and check-out device and a door opener. Function rooms for business meetings are available on the 6th floor. And here the guests can also expect ‘The Roof’, a restaurant, innovative bar as well as lounge with fireplace in one.<\/p>\n\n

Ingenhoven “Wave<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The image (at the bottom of the gallery) shows the edge of the Richard Meier-designed P&C on the left, with the Ingenhoven Valley in the in-cut on the right, and the K\u00f6-Bogen complexes, designed by Daniel Libeskind, behind it. To complete the overall picture, the intervening office building from the 1950s was demolished. It is replaced by an elegant building. A design by Christoph Ingenhoven has already been submitted for this, which cleverly picks up on the architectural features of the neighboring buildings in its planning. Known so far: Retail stores are to be established on two levels, and presumably a hotel above.<\/p>\n\n
