He is responsible for ensuring that all machines run smoothly \u2013 a dream job for a self-declared technology enthusiast.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His first \u201ccontact\u201d with EK goes back more than ten years: \u201cI drove past the new headquarters during its construction, and it made a real impression on me,\u201d he recalls. Still, several years passed in which the now 40-year-old gathered experience at various stations in his career. The stamping industry runs like a thread through his entire professional life as a trained tool mechanic.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After completing his apprenticeship, he attended evening school and graduated as a mechanical engineering technician. This was followed by a position as a design engineer and subsequent work as a department manager. His time as a field consultant for hybrid components in the automotive sector also gave him deep insight into the industry and related companies. The network he built during this period still benefits him today. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For almost two years now, Marco Baldewein has ensured that everything runs correctly at EK from a technical standpoint. For the dedicated technician, working with machines is the best part of the job. Stamping systems, molding machines, tooling machines, sorting equipment \u2013 he is responsible for ensuring that none of the systems in Haan come to a standstill. And if they do, he and his team make sure they are back up and running as quickly as possible. \u201cThe job is very diverse, just like our product portfolio,\u201d he explains. He appreciates how many EK components appear in everyday life \u2013 from shock absorber parts to items like hairbrushes. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Product development and diversification are top priorities at EK. High-tech tools and peripherals are required for these application-specific stamped and plastic parts. This kind of work aligns perfectly with his passion for technology. He also enjoys collaborating with the large production team: he is the point of contact for around 75 colleagues.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His passion for machinery continues in his private life as well. The private fleet includes several motorcycles and classic cars. His personal vehicle collection includes several motorcycles and classic cars. At age 18, he purchased his dream car \u2013 a Mercedes CLK Coup\u00e9 \u2013 financed through work on a friend\u2019s farm, often behind the wheel of a tractor or combine harvester. Beyond his enthusiasm for mechanics, his top priorities are his family and ongoing renovation projects at his \u201cidyllic dream home in the countryside,\u201d where he and his family have found their personal happiness.
